Gautam is co-founder and CEO of SnapTell, and has been part of teams building innovative software solutions for over twenty years. Most recently, Gautam was co-founder, CTO & VP Engineering of Vialto Corp., a venture funded company acquired by Cisco in 2004. Prior to that, Gautam was at Webvan Group, as a member of the Platform Architecture Board. Prior to Webvan, Gautam was part of the founding team at TimesTen Performance Software (acquired by Oracle), a high-performance, main-memory SQL-database company. Previously, Gautam held senior kernel-engineering positions at IBM Silicon Valley Lab and Silicon Graphics.
Gautam is a co-inventor on several granted patents in the area of data mining and database technology and has published papers in leading database journals and conferences such as SIGMOD, VLDB, TKDE, etc. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University and a B.Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India.
G D Ramkumar (Ram) is co-founder and CTO of SnapTell. Ram has over fifteen years of R&D experience developing scalable software systems. Most recently, Ram was a Senior Software Architect in the CTO Office of McDATA responsible for the company's overall technical software strategy. He joined McDATA through the successful acquisition of startup Sanera Systems, where he led the system software architecture. Sanera developed a market leading high end Fibre Channel Director for the SAN market that became McDATA's flagship product and is now deployed at the heart of thousands of data centers world wide.
Prior to Sanera Systems, Ram held senior roles at Hitachi Research Labs and Morgan Stanley where he developed innovative technologies in data mining and business intelligence. He has more than nine patents pending, over fifteen research papers at international journals and conferences, and two recent IETF RFC documents to his credit. He has a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, specializing in the areas of Geometric Algorithms and Robotics. Ram holds a President of India gold medal for the best undergraduate academic record at Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.
Adam Schneider, Vice President, Sales
Adam brings to SnapTell over 13 years of media ad sales experience. Most recently, Adam ran eastern sales for the mobile ad network AdMob. While there, he handled large brand, agency and mobile industry customers to lead global sales in per-account revenue in 2007 and prior to his departure in April, 2008.
Previously, Adam was one of the founding executives at the mobile start-up Cellfire. As V.P. of Sales, he built the program from scratch and closed the company’s first major brand advertisers, a key factor in the company's funding effort. Before that, Adam spent 7 years at MyPoints.com, the last 3 as VP of Sales running a team of 15 executives responsible for driving virtually all of a $25-30 million yearly revenue number. Prior to MyPoints, Adam worked at Pointcast where he ran ad sales for the Pointcast Direct product. He started his interactive sales career in 1996 as one of the first employees at the Hotmail Corporation, jumping to internet sales after achieving success at Bay Cable Advertising in San Francisco. Adam earned his BA in Political Science at SUNY Purchase and has his JD from the City University of New York Law School.
Ameen Ahmad, Vice President, Product Marketing
Ameen is a product management and marketing executive with over ten years of experience working with both start-ups and large companies across the wireless value chain, including wireless application providers, content providers, wireless SMS/MMS aggregators, infrastructure OEMs and handset OEMs.
Most recently, as a consultant, Ameen helped Hook Mobile launch its cross-carrier Mobile Trading Card service, based on platform for collectible digital content, with CBS' Survivor Fall 2006 show. Previously, he led Product Management & Marketing at Neven Vision (now part of Google), and helped productize the mobile visual search solution (iScout) for global commercial deployment. He has also developed successful products and go-to-market strategies for a number of leading companies including InnoPath Software (over-the-air firmware update), Intel Corporation and Lucent Technologies. Ameen has an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and MA in Economics from Rice University.
